What we collect when you use the Wigan Pool League app, why, and who else sees it.

Stored data is limited to your player name, email address and phone number, plus a device token if you enable push notifications.

Your phone number is shown to other players so they can arrange matches with you. Email addresses are only used for account access and league administration.
Once an account is set up, your email address cannot be changed without administrative consent, which may require deleting and recreating the account.
We don't sell or share your data with any third party for their own use. To run the app, we rely on a small number of infrastructure providers who process data strictly on our behalf, under their own security and data-protection terms:

These providers cannot use your data for advertising or any purpose beyond operating the app on our behalf.
Data is retained for the duration of your participation in the league and for one further season afterwards, then deleted. You can ask us to delete it sooner — see our data deletion page.
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) between the app and our database provider. Access to player data within the app is restricted by your role — player, captain, vice-captain or league administrator.
The app is intended for players registered with Wigan Pool League and is not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 16.
You can ask us at any time to see a copy of your data, correct it, or remove it. You can also withdraw consent for storing your phone number directly from the app's Privacy screen, which removes it immediately.
